Job Summary:
Responsible for managing, organizing, and preserving the library collection, as well as training users and supporting academic production.

Responsibilities and Duties:
* Ensure preservation, conservation, and sanitization of physical bibliographic materials of the Higher Education Institution (HEI);
* Control and manage material lending, return, renewal, and reservation processes;
* Classify and organize physical materials according to current technical standards in librarianship;
* Promote continuous user training for effective use of the Virtual Library, including training on academic databases, institutional repositories, and academic research tools;
* Support the scientific and academic production of the university community by providing guidance on document standardization, open access, copyright, and bibliographic references;
* Organize cultural events, thematic exhibitions, and initiatives encouraging reading and critical information use;
* Serve users courteously, empathetically, and efficiently, resolving inquiries and guiding them on library resource usage;
* Stay updated on technological innovations and trends in university libraries and information services;
* Collaborate with pedagogical teams and course coordinations to integrate library services into academic activities.
Requirements and Qualifications:
* **Bachelor's degree in Library Science with active registration at the Regional Council of Library Science (CRB);**
* Proven experience in public service, preferably in a university environment;
* Experience in technical library activities and management of physical and digital collections;
* Solid knowledge of academic databases, virtual libraries, and digital repositories;
* Familiarity with library management software (Pergamum);
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to conduct training sessions and presentations;
* Proactivity, organization, flexibility, and strong teamwork capability;
* Knowledge of information literacy methodologies and information mediation is desirable.
