Job Summary: A professional for cutting and welding metal parts made of carbon steel and stainless steel, using various processes, with emphasis on workplace safety and organization. Focus on workplace safety and organization Cuts metal parts; welds carbon steel and stainless steel; drills holes; works with sheets and equipment, using welding and cutting processes such as: shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding, metal inert gas (MIG) welding, metal active gas (MAG) welding, oxy-fuel welding, submerged arc welding (SAW), brazing, and plasma cutting. Promote continuous cleaning and contribute to keeping work areas always clean and organized. Do not allow materials, products, or equipment stored or awaiting movement in employee circulation areas. Do not allow electrical wiring or hoses on the floor within employee circulation areas; Workers must immediately report to the person responsible for service execution any situations they deem hazardous to their own safety and health or that of others. Workers must suspend their tasks exercising the right to refuse work whenever they identify evidence of serious and imminent risks to their own safety and health or that of others; Always observe and comply with instructions on all safety signs and notices present in environments where activities are performed; Ensure unobstructed access to portable fire extinguishers and other fire prevention and firefighting equipment and devices at the Company, keeping them free from any objects or goods; Use the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) according to the tasks performed: * Throughout the entire work shift: safety goggles, steel-toed safety boots, safety gloves for hand protection against abrasive and cutting agents (leather gauntlet), hearing protectors with minimum attenuation of 17 dB(A); * When handling steel parts and components: lumbar support belt for spinal protection (without CA number indication); * When operating powered portable tools and equipment: face shield, safety goggles, leather apron for torso protection against abrasive and cutting agents, steel-toed safety boots, safety gloves for hand protection against abrasive and cutting agents (leather gauntlet), hearing protectors with minimum attenuation of 17 dB(A); * Welding operations: welding helmet appropriate for the welding process used, leather welding jacket, safety gloves for hand protection against abrasive and cutting agents (leather), welding hood for head and neck protection against spatter, PFF3 respiratory protective mask, steel-toed safety boots; Only perform tasks after verifying associated risks and after wearing all required and mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) necessary for task execution; Immediately notify the Company of any damage or alteration rendering PPE unsuitable for use, so immediate replacement can be carried out; **Use of Collective Protective Equipment (CPE):** When performing welding operations, isolate the area using appropriate welding screens to prevent infrared and ultraviolet radiation from affecting workers performing other tasks nearby; Use wheeled carts to assist in moving and transporting parts and components—when necessary; Do not allow exposed electrical wiring in the workplace. Do not use electrical “T” connectors; Do not wear accessories such as rings, earrings, bracelets, or necklaces during working hours; Carrying hand tools in pockets or inappropriate locations is prohibited. Hand tools with blades or points must be protected with leather sheaths or other materials of equivalent resistance and durability when not in use; Only use machines, equipment, and powered electrical tools complying with specific safety requirements stipulated in NR-12. Hazard zones of machines and equipment must have safety systems characterized by fixed guards, movable guards, and interlocked safety devices ensuring worker health and physical integrity; Do not use improvised tools (e.g., knives, scissors). Periodically inspect tools and repair or replace damaged or poor-quality ones; Weld carbon steel and stainless steel parts and components using MIG/MAG and TIG processes. Operate equipment, hand tools, and powered portable tools. Organize the workstation, storing tools and equipment used in performed tasks.
