About the position: What does a Senior Buyer do? The Senior Buyer is a strategic professional responsible for ensuring efficient company supply, working closely with production, logistics, PCP (Production Control Planning), and finance departments. Their role includes negotiation, cost analysis, procurement planning, supplier development, and market monitoring—all with an emphasis on total cost, quality, delivery time, and supply reliability. Main Responsibilities: Negotiation * Conduct negotiations focusing on total cost, delivery time, quality, and reliability. * Master negotiation techniques covering price, delivery time, volume, SLA, and commercial terms. * Lead strategic negotiations focused on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). * Negotiate contracts, price adjustments, payment terms, and logistical conditions. * Engage in renegotiation and mitigation of supply risks. Cost Analysis and Pricing Formation * Analyze cost structure (raw materials, freight, taxes, lead time, and currency fluctuations). * Compare proposals based on TCO – Total Cost of Ownership. * Evaluate commercial proposals and identify cost reduction opportunities. * Support internal pricing formation using market data and actual costs. * Perform comparative analyses among suppliers (benchmarking). Procurement Planning and Control (PPC) * Plan procurement aligned with production schedules and inventory levels. * Manage lead time, minimum stock level, and reorder point. * Interact directly with PCP, Production, Logistics, and Finance departments. * Ensure uninterrupted supply without stockouts or excess inventory. Supplier Management and Development * Evaluate and approve suppliers. * Develop strategic suppliers considering quality, delivery time, and production capacity. * Monitor performance indicators (quality, delivery, cost, and service level). * Manage relationships with critical suppliers. Technical Knowledge of Products and Industrial Processes * Possess technical knowledge of inputs, raw materials, and industrial components. * Understand production processes and the impact of procurement on operations. * Read and interpret technical specifications, datasheets, and drawings. * Provide technical support for material substitution or standardization processes. Market and Supply Chain * Monitor supplier market trends. * Understand industry dynamics, seasonality, risks, and opportunities. * Act proactively in response to market fluctuations. Systems and Controls * Use ERP systems for procurement, inventory, and contract management. * Master controls, reports, and departmental KPIs. * Maintain organized and up-to-date records and documentation. Your daily routine at H2M will be: Your routine will be characterized by strategic involvement in procurement—leading supplier negotiations, analyzing costs, planning acquisitions, and ensuring operational supply. You will work closely with production, PCP, logistics, and finance departments, monitoring KPIs, developing suppliers, and proactively addressing market risks. You will also be responsible for organizing contracts, controls, and reports—always focusing on operational efficiency, cost reduction, and supply security.
