Job Summary: A Cashier is responsible for greeting customers, operating the cash register, processing financial transactions, issuing fiscal documents, and maintaining the organization and security of the cash area. Maintaining cash register organization and security **Cashier Responsibilities** * Greet customers courteously. * Clarify questions regarding prices, promotions, or payment methods. * Provide prompt and respectful service. * Scan products using the barcode reader or manually enter item information. * Verify items and amounts displayed on screen. * Operate the cash register to accept payments in cash, credit/debit cards, PIX, vouchers, and other forms. * Issue fiscal invoices or fiscal receipts. * Verify the change fund at the beginning of the shift. * Perform end-of-shift closing procedures (verify amounts, generate reports, justify discrepancies, if any). * Keep the cash register clean and organized. * Ensure the security of funds and equipment. * Manage available change. * Request additional cash as needed.
