Job Summary: We are seeking a Supervisory Nurse to supervise and provide care to critically ill patients, organize nursing care through the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE), and mediate communication among the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families. Social transformation and care for life We seek a professional to supervise and deliver nursing care to critically ill patients, aligned with the institution’s mission, vision, and values, and in accordance with the Nursing Service Bylaws, organizing care through the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE). In addition, the role involves integrating, facilitating, and mediating communication among the interdisciplinary team, patients, and their families. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Staff and bed allocation for the unit, following the institution’s care model; * Ensuring accurate patient medical record documentation to guarantee continuity of care and enable billing in compliance with current legislation; * Planning, performing, and documenting all nursing-specific procedures as stipulated by current legislation: dressing changes for arterial venous catheters (AVC), central venous lines (CDL), and totally implanted catheters; urinary and enteral catheterizations; puncture of totally implanted catheters and external jugular catheters; administration of antineoplastic therapy and blood components; debridement of pressure injuries after evaluation and indication by the Pressure Injury Prevention and Treatment Committee; application of specialized wound dressings; bone marrow transplantation per sectoral protocol; application of Braden, Morse, and other clinical risk assessment scales and scores; * Ethically and responsibly transporting inpatients (between departments) and outpatients (between Mário Penna Institute units, other hospitals, and/or specialized clinics), in accordance with institutional protocols (complexity profile, safe transfer checklist, etc.), current COFEN/COREN-MG regulations, monitoring level of consciousness, maintaining connections of invasive and life-support devices, applying protective measures and clinical risk management, and maintaining vigilance over patients under one’s responsibility; * Participating in and supporting quality management processes, hospital accreditation, and institutional certifications; * Participating in discussions regarding clinical status, interventions, and discharge planning, indicating required care needs; * Conducting daily patient visits to establish care plans, manage risks, and plan assistance by implementing the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE) for patients under one’s responsibility; * Verifying and guiding nursing team members regarding patient safety mechanisms and preventive measures for identified risks; * Supervising and evaluating nursing team members’ performance and procedural execution; * Educating patients and their families about provided care; * Reporting patient abnormalities and complications to the medical team; * Maintaining and facilitating communication with the interdisciplinary team; * Ensuring and training the team to manage complications by adopting appropriate nursing procedures for each situation and supporting medical interventions; * Supporting orientation and training of newly hired staff, providing daily feedback; * Conducting training sessions per the institutional training program; * Participating in the evaluation of new equipment and supplies by monitoring tests, issuing technical opinions, and recording required reports; * Participating in the development and revision of clinical protocols managed by the unit; * Ensuring optimal equipment functionality through resource optimization and preventive maintenance; * Optimizing and expediting patient examinations; * Participating in periodic departmental meetings; * Supervising cleanliness and organization of the unit and its facilities; * Supervising the nursing team under one’s responsibility regarding attendance, absenteeism, and personal appearance; * Reporting Health Incidents and non-conformities, and implementing corrective and improvement actions for work processes; * Assisting in data collection and critical analysis of departmental indicators; * Applying disciplinary measures in accordance with institutional policies; * Providing continuous feedback to team members; * Supervising the use of PPE and compliance with NR 32. **Requirements and Qualifications** Bachelor’s degree in Nursing with active COREN-MG registration; Experience as a supervisory nurse; Knowledge of the current Professional Code of Ethics.
