Requirements: **About the Opportunity** We are seeking a Senior Java Consultant to support maintenance, evolution, and support of a corporate backend External Accounts platform used in the financial services sector, with a focus on wealth management. This is a global environment with frequent interaction with international teams; English communication is essential. **Key Responsibilities** Maintain and evolve the existing External Accounts platform Develop and optimize REST services for financial data operations Work with scheduled jobs and batch processing using Quartz Implement messaging flows via JMS for data import and export Optimize Hibernate entities and database queries for performance improvement Integrate the platform with external financial data providers and third-party APIs Develop unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, and Spring Test Handle production incidents with emphasis on rapid response Document technical designs and implementation approaches Participate in code reviews and ensure coding quality standards **Mandatory Technical Skills** Java Core & Frameworks Java 8 (JDK 1.8) with solid production experience **Experience with Java 21 is highly desirable** Spring Framework 4.0 (Core, Web, ORM, JMS) JAX-RS / RESTEasy 2.3.x Hibernate 4.2.x Strong expertise in Dependency Injection, IoC, and Spring XML-based configuration Enterprise Java Technologies Maven (multi-module) JPA / Hibernate JDBC JMS Quartz Scheduler Oracle Database (SQL, PL/SQL, and tuning) JNDI Application Server & Deployment JBoss / WildFly Servlet API 3.0+ WAR deployment Additional Technologies Oracle Coherence Apache POI Logback / SLF4J Jackson **Required Experience** Enterprise Java development experience Experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate Experience with modular architecture and Maven multi-module Experience in financial services / wealth management Strong experience with REST APIs Experience with JMS and asynchronous processing Experience working with complex databases and stored procedures Advanced or fluent English for meetings, documentation, and interaction with global teams **Desirable Qualifications** Experience with Java 21 LTS Experience in Java 8 to Java 21 migration Knowledge of modern Java features (records, pattern matching, virtual threads)
