Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary: As a Junior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for extracting, cleaning, and provisioning data; designing and maintaining data pipelines; integrating and organizing data; documenting processes; and collaborating with other data teams. Collaboration in multidisciplinary teams with other members of the data team As a **Junior Data Engineer**, your responsibilities will include: * Extracting data from Group tools via APIs, automation, and files. * Cleaning, typing, and provisioning data for stakeholders. * Designing, developing, and maintaining data pipelines (ingestion, alerts, corrections, improvements). * Integrating and organizing data from diverse sources and formats, ensuring consistency and data quality. * Documenting and reviewing deployment processes and production pipelines for data pipelines. * Documenting and applying best programming practices for developed code and pipelines. * Partnering with data analysts and data scientists to model and provision data according to designed modeling approaches (e.g., Star Schema, OBT, Fact vs. Dimension). * Supporting the engineering team with ad-hoc requests and developments related to the data platform and governance. **Requirements:** * Minimum of 6 months of experience in engineering. * Experience working with data lakes (GCP preferred). * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields. * Strong SQL skills for extracting and manipulating large volumes of data. * Knowledge of and familiarity with pipeline tools such as DBT (experience with Dataform is a plus). * Advanced Python knowledge applied to data processing, API integration, and object-oriented programming. * Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams with other data team members. * Basic understanding of data modeling, and creation and maintenance of data lakes. **Preferred Qualifications:** * A motivated, curious, energetic individual eager to learn and grow. **That said, we offer:** * PJ (individual contractor) employment model. * Hybrid work arrangement (1–2 days per week onsite). **Interested?
