Job Summary: Operates plasma and oxy-fuel cutting machines to cut steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheets, performing basic maintenance and material handling. Key Highlights: 1. Conducts basic maintenance on cutting equipment when necessary. Operates forklifts and overhead cranes to handle materials for cutting operations. * Performs cutting of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum sheets using plasma cutting machines according to established programming. * When required, performs cutting of sheets using oxy-fuel torches and plasma. * Cuts sheets ranging from 1.5mm to 101mm thick on the plasma and oxy-fuel cutting table. * Cuts stainless steel sheets ranging from 1.5mm to 25mm thick on the plasma cutting table. * When necessary, performs basic maintenance on plasma cutting equipment. * Handles materials (sheets and parts) required for work tasks using forklifts and overhead cranes. * Manages weighing of scrap generated in the department.
