We are seeking a **Medical Billing Assistant** to support daily tasks related to verifying and organizing hospital bills. The professional will assist in document verification, basic charge analysis, value reconciliation, and support for billing and auditing processes, ensuring compliance with contracts and internal policies. **Responsibilities and Duties** * Support hospital bill verification, checking consistency between performed procedures and billed amounts. * Assist in analyzing billed materials, medications, and procedures, flagging potential inconsistencies to the responsible team. * Verify documents, medical records, and referral forms for submission to auditing or billing processes. * Support the claim denial process by recording identified discrepancies and organizing supporting documentation. * Verify calculations and application of contracted fee schedules under supervision of the analyst or immediate supervisor. * Organize and maintain up-to-date files, reports, and internal controls for the medical billing department. * Assist in reviewing records to ensure compliance with internal policies and established contracts. * Provide administrative support for billing and medical billing audit routines. * Perform other related duties as directed by leadership. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Completed high school education; undergraduate studies preferred; * Experience in medical billing auditing or hospital billing; * Attention to detail and analytical ability; * Familiarity with technical standards, billing fee schedules, and hospital contracts. **Additional Information** * **Meal Allowance: BRL 42.00 per day (symbolic monthly deduction of BRL 1.00)** * **Transportation Allowance** * **Birthday Day Off** * **Health Insurance – no payroll deduction** * **Dental Insurance – no payroll deduction** * **Total Pass – wellness and physical activity incentive** * **Discounts at educational institutions** * **Leve Mente Program – focused on emotional well-being** * **Working Hours: Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM** * **One remote workday per week.** We are **Leve Saúde**, the healthtech operator that launched in Rio de Janeiro in September 2020, dedicated to individuals over 45 years old seeking quality healthcare at affordable prices.
