**What the area is like:**
The Manufacturing Engineering area for landing gear and components comprising their entire complex system is a specialized field within engineering. Landing gear are critical systems for the safe takeoff and landing of aircraft and require specialized knowledge for their manufacture. Our area integrates requirements from Structural, Materials, Systems, and Quality Engineering, transforming them into work instructions and procedures for Production. We also provide all necessary resources for manufacturing—aiming for lowest cost, shortest lead time, and highest quality standards.
**Responsibilities and duties** **Your day-to-day will be:**
As a Manufacturing Engineer for landing gear and components, you will support product development through the manufacturing line, resolve technical issues, and implement solutions in collaboration with Production, Quality Engineering, Product Engineering, and Suppliers. Your tasks will include defining special processes (surface treatments, heat treatments, non-destructive inspection, and painting), liaising with national and international suppliers. Additionally, you will participate in teams seeking solutions to problems and process improvements, manage internal performance indicators, and lead projects focused on improving production efficiency.
**Requirements and qualifications** **To meet this challenge, you must have:**
* Completed undergraduate degree (diploma or graduation certificate required) in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields.
* Active CREA registration or documentation to obtain it.
* Intermediate/advanced English proficiency for reading, writing, and speaking.
* Experience in developing special processes: Surface Treatments and Heat Treatments, Non-Destructive Inspection, and Painting.
* Experience handling non-conformance disposition and corrective actions.
* Experience creating and reviewing process specifications, reports, and test plans.
* Knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, Pareto charts, histograms, 8D, Ishikawa, 5W1H, etc.).
* Knowledge of Lean concepts and tools (VSM, Kaizen, 5S, SMED, TPM, etc.).
* Knowledge of process development management, with a Manufacturing Engineering perspective, providing resources and documentation to enable product manufacturing.
* Knowledge of managing and implementing product and process modifications.
* Knowledge of developing operation routings.
