**About the Role:**
We are looking for a Mid\-Level COBOL Developer with 3–5 years of hands\-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise COBOL applications. You will join a collaborative team that values clean code, strong problem\-solving skills, and continuous improvement within a modernizing mainframe environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Design, develop, and maintain COBOL\-based applications that are efficient, scalable, and reliable.
* Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to implement new features and enhance existing functionality.
* Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to high coding and design standards.
* Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain application stability and performance.
* Partner with QA, DevOps, and Product teams to ensure smooth deployments and successful releases.
* Continuously explore and adopt new tools, technologies, and best practices within the mainframe ecosystem.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
* 3–5 years of experience in COBOL development (Batch, CICS, or both).
* Strong understanding of structured programming and software design principles.
* Hands\-on experience with mainframe technologies, including:
* JCL
* CICS
* DB2
* VSAM
* Familiarity with version control tools such as Git (especially in modernized environments).
* Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
