Job Summary: You will work as a Senior Data Architect in a Squad dedicated to advancing the data strategy of a major industrial company, leading the data platform maturity assessment and defining the target architecture for modernizing the analytical pipeline. Build a scalable Data Lake on AWS with governance, quality, and performance sp, SP Senior About the Role: You will serve as a Data Architect in a Squad focused on evolving the data strategy of a large industrial company, responsible for leading the data platform maturity assessment and defining the target architecture for modernizing the analytical pipeline within the Accounting department. The challenge involves building a scalable Data Lake on AWS—ensuring governance, quality, and performance—while also providing technical guidance to the team during solution implementation. Responsibilities: ✔ Define and evolve the data architecture of the analytical platform on AWS ✔ Conduct data maturity assessments (architecture, governance, quality, and usage) ✔ Map the current architecture and propose structural improvements ✔ Define the target architecture for the analytical pipeline ✔ Structure data layers (Bronze, Silver, and Gold) ✔ Provide technical guidance for building data pipelines ✔ Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and quality ✔ Support defining standards for data ingestion, transformation, and consumption ✔ Collaborate with business teams to understand business rules (especially accounting-related) ✔ Document architecture, standards, and technical decisions ✔ Support structured integration with BI tools such as Power BI Requirements: ✔ Proven experience as a Senior Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer ✔ Strong knowledge of modern data architecture (Data Lake, Data Warehouse, Lakehouse) ✔ Experience with AWS (especially data-focused services) ✔ Knowledge of data modeling (dimensional and analytical) ✔ Experience designing data pipelines (ETL/ELT) ✔ Knowledge of data governance, quality, and security ✔ Experience integrating data (e.g., SAP, enterprise systems) ✔ Advanced SQL proficiency ✔ Experience working in Agile environments ✔ Experience with data maturity assessment projects ✔ Experience modernizing analytical pipelines (migration from BI to Data Lake) ✔ Experience optimizing analytical environment performance Nice-to-Have: ➕ Familiarity with governance frameworks such as DAMA-DMBOK ➕ Experience with financial or accounting data ➕ Experience modernizing analytical pipelines (migration from BI to Data Lake) Work Model: Hybrid What You’ll Find at Maitha: Individual development experience for soft skills, with ongoing support throughout your journey; Well-being management with tracking of metrics and indicators measuring satisfaction progress; Training sessions, workshops, and meetups to enhance both soft and hard skills; Rewards program with points and prizes; TotalPass offering multiple plan options and over 250 modalities—including weight training, cross-training, yoga, dance, and more; And much more!
