With over 13,000 employees worldwide, we are committed to using our energy and heart to drive a better tomorrow. **Job Mission** Lead the development agenda for distribution companies within the EDP Group in South America, integrating Distribution Engineering, Technological Development (R&D), and Strategic Projects. The position will play a central role in developing the distribution business through strategic and structural projects, connecting engineering, technology, innovation, process improvement, and people to accelerate grid modernization, enhance operational efficiency, and prepare the business for challenges posed by the energy transition, market liberalization, digitalization, and the growing complexity of the electric power sector. This role is responsible for transforming strategic directives and opportunities into concrete solutions and outcomes, promoting safety, reliability, supply quality, sustainability, and an improved customer experience. **Key Responsibilities** * Define and execute the Distribution Development Strategy aligned with the company’s strategic planning and future business needs. * Lead the portfolio of strategic and structural projects, ensuring prioritization, governance, risk management, adherence to timelines, cost control, and realization of expected benefits. * Drive technological advancement and grid modernization through initiatives related to Smart Grids, automation, telecommunications, ADMS, SCADA, OMS, mission-critical systems, and OT/IT integration. * Lead the Research, Development & Innovation (R&D&I) agenda, connecting internal departments, universities, startups, suppliers, research centers, and strategic partners. * Ensure innovation and technological development projects evolve from experimentation to scalable, sustainable, and business-applicable solutions. * Direct the technical standardization of Distribution Engineering, covering standards, specifications, procedures, materials, equipment, processes, and supplier qualification. * Develop Business Cases and technical, economic, and operational feasibility analyses to support investment decisions. * Promote process review and transformation, focusing on simplification, productivity, continuous improvement, safety, quality, and customer experience. * Collaborate integrally with Operations, Technology, Regulation, Procurement, Finance, and other corporate functions to ensure alignment between strategy and execution. * Represent the company technically in forums, industry associations, research institutions, strategic partners, and regulatory bodies. * Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams, reinforcing a culture of safety, collaboration, innovation, ownership, diversity, and results orientation. * Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal standards, corporate policies, Audit, Compliance, data protection, and other applicable guidelines. **Mandatory Qualifications*** Bachelor’s degree completed, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Technology, or related fields. * Relevant experience in team leadership and managing strategic, structural, or transformational projects. * Knowledge of processes, systems, or technologies applied to Power Distribution. * Experience in the electric power sector, infrastructure, technology, or highly complex operational environments. * Knowledge of project management, portfolio management, risk management, planning, and performance tracking. * Ability to engage diverse stakeholders, influence decisions, and drive complex change agendas. * Understanding of regulation, business models, and key challenges in the electric power sector. * Advanced English proficiency. **Preferred Qualifications*** MBA, specialization, or master’s degree in Management, Strategy, Technology, Innovation, or related fields. * Experience in Distribution Engineering, Technological Development, Innovation, or Structural Projects. * Knowledge of OT/IT systems (ADMS, OMS, GIS, Smart Grids, telecommunications, automation, or OT/IT integration). * Experience in digital transformation, change management, continuous improvement, Lean, or process review. * Involvement in high-complexity projects, multidisciplinary environments, or initiatives with national or international scope. **Profile We Seek** We seek a leader with strategic vision, execution capability, and the ability to connect diverse knowledge domains, functions, and people.
