**Position:** Portuguese Teacher \| Brazilian Program **Reports to:** Pedagogical Coordination of Early or Elementary Education **Job Mission:** Provide high-quality bilingual education, respecting each student's cognitive, emotional, physical, and social development. Plan and carry out educational activities aligned with the school's curriculum plan and Canadian methodology, constantly evaluating educational practices to ensure active, meaningful learning adapted to each child's individual needs. Actively participate in pedagogical meetings, class councils, civic events, and other collective actions. Respond to requests from school management and coordination related to teaching practice, contributing to students' holistic development within the school environment. **Responsibilities and duties:** * Know and stay updated on the Maple Bear methodology, deeply understanding its principles and applying them in daily school life. * Comply with the school's rules, procedures, and protocols, ensuring that all educational actions align with the institution's values and objectives. * Plan and deliver lessons, respecting children's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development, always aiming to provide high-quality bilingual education. Teaching practices must be adapted to each student's needs, focusing on playful, interactive, and meaningful learning within the principles of the Maple Bear curriculum. * Develop innovative and creative lesson plans and teaching materials that foster curiosity and engagement in educational activities. Activities should be designed to encourage integrated and enjoyable development of linguistic, cognitive, social, and motor skills. * Continuously and individually assess children's performance using observations, records, portfolios, checklists, rubrics, practical activities, and other educational tools that allow monitoring each student's progress, respecting their individual characteristics and promoting their holistic development. * Stay updated on educational practices and trends in Education, constantly seeking professional improvement through courses, workshops, conferences, and study groups. Share this knowledge with the pedagogical team, enriching teaching practices and promoting innovation in educational approaches. * Actively collaborate with pedagogical coordination and other school professionals, participating in meetings, committees, and interdisciplinary projects. Contribute to the implementation of effective educational policies and the continuous improvement of teaching in Early Education, promoting a collaborative and high-quality learning environment. * Promote high-quality bilingual education for all children, respecting each student's individual development and adapting pedagogical approaches to their needs. The Canadian methodology will be integrated into the local context, ensuring learning occurs in a contextualized and meaningful way. * Participate in school community activities such as pedagogical meetings, class councils, civic events, and other initiatives, contributing to strengthening the school culture and the continuous development of children. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Languages. * Postgraduate degree in Education or related fields is desirable. * Knowledge of BNCC curriculum guidelines and current pedagogical approaches. * Organized, proactive, and able to work independently. * Affinity with children and ability to create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating environment that supports students' holistic development. **Cultural Fit:** **We care** – Cares for people with respect and empathy.
