Description
Control chemical, physical, and mechanical processes by defining mass and energy balances, control parameters, standards, analytical methods, and sampling systems. Develop processes and systems through research, testing, trials, and simulations, as well as prospecting and implementing new technologies. Design technical systems and equipment. Implement environmental management systems by analyzing environmental aspects and impacts. Prepare technical documentation for projects, processes, systems, and equipment in the sector, and implement process safety and work procedures, as well as coordinate work activities.
**Responsibilities and Duties**
* Plan and execute studies and research projects related to production activities.
* Participate in short-term strategic planning.
* Optimize and improve plant processes through metallurgical investigation.
* Propose parameter adjustments aimed at maximizing production and minimizing losses caused by process errors.
* Submit weekly and monthly reports on work performed.
* Interpret results and define action plans to ensure process efficiency.
* Study ways to optimize labor, machinery, and equipment utilization to improve industrial processes.
* Propose changes to processes, methods, equipment, and devices.
* Develop new manufacturing processes to enhance product quality.
* Reduce losses and increase productivity.
* Ensure implementation of practices and standards that guarantee operational quality, safety, occupational health, and environmental protection by the work team.
* Contribute to the professional development of the team by guiding workgroups in implementing process improvements.
* Ensure continuity of the crushing, grinding, screening, intensive reactor, gravimetry, classification, flotation (CIL, desorption), Detox, and tailings dam processes.
* Ensure production of adsorbed metal.
* Prepare and review standards and procedures.
* Establish and implement work routines.
* Monitor and evaluate performance indicators within the area of responsibility.
* Control and evaluate team work targets.
* Establish preventive and corrective action plans.
* Apply mathematical and statistical tools to model production systems and support decision-making.
* Use performance indicators and cost accounting systems.
* Participate in training programs when requested.
* Conduct safety inspections in plant areas.
* Accompany audits conducted by competent authorities when necessary.
* Control area inputs and prepare budgets for future periods.
* Prepare shipments of produced gold for loading and perform required controls.
* Guide plant area activities.
* Coordinate tailings dam operations.
* Coordinate tailings dam monitoring.
* Train operational personnel for process and production control.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related fields;
Work experience in gold mining;
Intermediate/advanced English proficiency preferred.
Communication skills and proactivity
Driver's license category B
