Real opportunity for growth to Head of Engineering Tech Lead Position Description: We are looking for a **Tech Lead who actively participates in technical decisions involved in building a product from scratch**, capable of **founding the product’s engineering function**, defining standards, and building a solid, pragmatic, and scalable foundation. R$12K | PJ Hybrid model in Barra da Tijuca – RJ Responsibilities * Lead the **technical conception of the product from scratch** * Define and evolve the **software architecture** (backend, frontend, infrastructure, and security) * Make technical decisions considering **risk, cost, and business impact** * Provide technical context so that Product can better define priorities * Ensure **quality, observability, logging, and auditability** from the outset * Define coding standards, versioning, CI/CD, and minimum documentation * Hire and lead a technical team * Hands-on development and infrastructure work (this is not a management-only role) Required Qualifications * Solid experience as a **Tech Lead or Senior Engineer** * Strong expertise in microservices **and data modeling** * Experience with transactional systems and state workflows (e.g., payment orders, cross-department approvals, orders, workflows) * Proven ability to **translate technical decisions into business impact** * Clear communication with non-technical teams * Experience in high-operational-responsibility environments * Hybrid work model in Barra da Tijuca – RJ Nice-to-Have (not required) * Prior experience in **building a product from scratch** or leading major refactorings * Entrepreneurial experience or background * Prior experience in healthtech, fintech, or regulated products * Knowledge of payment systems and reconciliation * Experience in early-stage startups Expected Tech Stack (not rigid) * Backend: Node.js * Database: PostgreSQL * Frontend: React (web) and/or React Native * Infrastructure: AWS * CI/CD, message queues, and basic observability The final stack will be defined collaboratively—we expect technical reasoning, not tool loyalty.
