Focus on development, optimization, and validation of electroplating processes. **About the opportunity:** We are looking for an R&D Analyst – Plating with strong technical expertise and an analytical profile to develop, validate, and optimize electroplating processes in a high-demand industrial environment. The position is strategic and involves close collaboration with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Customers, playing a critical role in ensuring technical performance, aesthetics, and process robustness. **Key responsibilities:** Develop and optimize electroplating processes (aesthetic and functional) Design complete process sequences (pre-treatment, deposition, and post-treatment) Define critical parameters: current, temperature, pH, time, and acceptance criteria Plan and execute DOE (Design of Experiments) to improve performance Conduct failure analysis (pitting, stains, poor adhesion, corrosion, etc.) Apply structured methodologies (8D, MASP, Ishikawa, 5 Whys) Validate processes via laboratory and industrial testing Directly contribute to productivity improvement and defect reduction Interface with customers to translate technical requirements Support audits and regulatory requirements (especially aerospace environment) Requirements: **Education:** Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields Advanced English **Experience:** Proven experience in electroplating / surface treatment processes Experience in process development and troubleshooting **Technical knowledge:** Bath parameters and chemical control Statistical analysis (SPC / Six Sigma preferred) Technical standards (ASTM, ISO) Quality tools **Technical differentiators (strongly preferred)** Experience with critical aluminum alloys Knowledge of hydrogen embrittlement Expertise in current distribution across complex geometries Experience with technical masking Proficiency in Electroplating Processes: Electrolytic Nickel (bright, semi-bright), Electroless Nickel (EN), Decorative Chromium, Acidic and Alkaline Copper, Gold, Silver, Tin.
