Join us!** **Job Title: CAE Simulation Design Engineer** **Department/Area: Product Engineering** **Job Description:** **RESPONSIBILITIES** * Validate product designs using CAE software based on structural analysis and manufacturing process evaluation, and propose design improvements. * Optimize designs through simulations and related activities supporting product development in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements. * Conduct activities related to new simulation methods and assist in training new employees. * Prepare and deliver internal departmental training sessions. **Key Activities** * Gather product design project information. * Perform structural calculations for technical proposals. * Carry out structural optimization of product designs. * Develop new methodologies for structural calculation. * Prepare structural calculation reports and technical presentations. * Participate in data acquisition activities jointly with the laboratory. * Develop automation methodologies for processes within simulation software. * Participate in product development-related activities. * Participate in Project and Process FMEA meetings, working collaboratively in teams. * Train new employees. * Maintain confidentiality of information. **QUALIFICATIONS** * **Education Level:** Bachelor’s degree or equivalent * **Field of Study:** Engineering (Materials or Mechanical) * **Professional Licenses and Certifications:** * **Language Requirements:** English – Advanced / Spanish – Preferred **EXPERIENCE:** * **Years of Experience:** 7 years of experience in related fields. **KNOWLEDGE:** **Mandatory** * Structural Analysis using the Finite Element Method * Product and Process Specific Characteristics * GD&T – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing * APQP – Advanced Product Quality Planning * IATF 16949:2016 – Automotive Quality Management System Requirements **Preferred** * CAD – Computer-Aided Design * Microsoft Office – Excel – Advanced * Quality Tools
