Responsible for external and internal audits We are looking for an **ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST** to join our **TAX ACCOUNTING** team at **idg**. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Your day-to-day will include:** * Managing accounting routines tailored to nonprofit entities, focusing on tax compliance, transparent reporting, and optimization of limited resources; * Acting as liaison with the outsourced accounting firm, ensuring deadlines are met; * Carrying out tax planning, optimizing exemptions (income tax, social security contributions, etc.) and immunities applicable to Third Sector entities; * Reviewing system-generated journal entries, verifying and guiding cost centers and payroll groups to ensure accurate financial statements; * Analyzing financial statements of subsidiaries and headquarters after delivery by the outsourced accounting firm, and generating annual variance reports; * Monitoring schedules and submissions of ancillary obligations such as ECF, ECD, DIRF, EFD, DCTFWeb, eSocial, and accountability reports to donors and public agencies; * Collaborating with the outsourced accounting firm on accounting solutions for the Institute—regarding service provider contracting models, sponsorship and donation receipts—with the objective of minimizing tax burden, among other solutions; * Developing new workflows and controls as needed to automate and systematize processes wherever possible, always ensuring the Institute’s financial security and that of its assets; * Close interaction with the Finance Department; * Leading the annual external audit process, supporting General Management in selecting the external auditor, reviewing the draft audit contract and evaluating the outsourced accounting firm, serving as the main point of contact with other departments involved; * Leading internal audits, if applicable; * Supporting accountability reporting requirements; * Managing the outsourced accounting relationship, monitoring contract validity periods, directly participating in the hiring/renewal process, reviewing the draft accounting services contract, and acting as the main point of contact with other departments; * Managing fixed assets, reconciling physical inventory (in coordination with Procurement) against ERP system records; * Developing/issuing relevant departmental reports to support Executive Management in decision-making. **Requirements and Qualifications** **What is required for this position:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Sciences, with active CRC registration; * Knowledge of Tax and Fiscal Legislation; * Proficiency in NBC ITG 2002, tax planning for nonprofit entities, project-based costing, and regulations such as Law No. 9,532/97 and Law No. 12,101/09; * Knowledge of legislation governing the Third Sector; * Proven knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards. **It’s a plus if you have:** * Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Manager; * Advanced proficiency in MS Office and accounting software; * Ability to handle large volumes of data; * High attention to detail and accuracy. **Additional Information** **Our Benefits:** **Meal and Food Allowance:** We provide the flexible **Ticket Flex** card, usable for both meal and food purposes at any establishment bearing the Ticket brand.
