Responsible for leading and managing the Fertilizer Procurement team, developing strategies with suppliers and driving the planning, execution, and monitoring of buying and selling plans. Works in alignment with the supply strategy, ensuring the acquisition of the right inputs at the right time, with quality, competitive cost, and compliance with internal and external regulations, while maintaining continuous collaboration with Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Sales teams. **Responsibilities and duties** * Manage the procurement process for fertilizers, both domestic and imported: identifying national and international suppliers, negotiating prices, delivery timelines, payment terms, logistics, and contracts. * Analyze the agricultural market and competitors, monitoring key crop markets, tracking trends and opportunities, capturing price trends, demand, global supply, exchange rates, and tariffs to anticipate risks and opportunities and maximize commercial results. * Lead and develop the procurement team by promoting training, negotiation culture, continuous improvement, and process automation (ERP, e-procurement) through close management, fostering engagement, integration, and a positive work environment. * Coordinate and supervise the import process: customs documentation, tax regimes, international freight costs, foreign exchange, insurance, customs clearance, and international and domestic logistics. **Requirements and qualifications** * Solid experience in strategic procurement, preferably in the fertilizer or agricultural input sector, with knowledge of manufacturing and importation. * Understanding of fertilizer or agricultural input production processes: technical specifications, raw materials, factory logistics, storage. * Experience in international importation: customs documentation, international logistics, freight, foreign exchange, tariffs, special regimes. * Knowledge of financial mathematics and financial analysis. * Familiarity with CBOT (Chicago Board of Trade) operations, foreign exchange, etc. * Strong negotiation, interpersonal communication, and relationship management skills with customers and suppliers. * People management experience. * Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
