Job Summary: Operate and maintain heavy equipment for electrical infrastructure, ensuring safety and efficiency across various construction activities. Key Highlights: 1. Handling of excavation and material handling machinery **PREREQUISITES:** * Completion of elementary education required; * Availability for rotating shifts: 5x2, 21x2, or 90x10; * Willingness to travel and stay on-site; * Residing in Gravataí, Porto Alegre, Gramado, Canela, Erechim, or other cities in Rio Grande do Sul is a plus; * Proficiency in operating tractors with wheels or tracks; * Dexterity and precision in movements while operating machinery and equipment; * Experience with backhoe loaders or crane trucks. **Work Schedule:** Availability for the following rotating shifts: \- 5x2 (Monday to Friday) – For candidates residing in the city where the project is located or in a neighboring city; \- 21x2 – For candidates residing farther from the project site, within Rio Grande do Sul state; \- 90x10 – For candidates residing in other states. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** Operate heavy equipment such as wheel loaders, compacting rollers, cranes, crawler tractors, and rock drills, adhering to standard operating procedures to ensure safe and efficient execution of electrical infrastructure activities. Perform minor excavations for installation of cable ducts and precast materials using smaller equipment like mini backhoe loaders or skid-steer loaders, meeting project technical specifications. Lift loads using tractors equipped with winches, observing operational limits and safety regulations to correctly position materials and components. Deploy cables via tractor-drag method according to project planning to ensure proper installation of transmission networks. Move waste materials within the construction site perimeter using appropriate equipment to maintain site organization and cleanliness per environmental regulations. Assist in preparing foundations, platforms, access roads, and bases for poles, towers, and structures, following technical guidelines to ensure stability and compliance of installations up to 500 kV. Clear right-of-way corridors and open access routes using tractors and specialized attachments, per the work plan, to allow safe vehicle and equipment traffic. Handle loads using hydraulic equipment such as crane trucks and cranes, complying with operational procedures to meet site logistical demands. Operate rock drilling equipment (Rock Drill), following technical instructions, to enable excavation in high-resistance terrain. Support field teams in excavation or heavy material handling tasks, especially in hard-to-reach areas, to ensure continuous progress of work fronts. Correctly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Collective Protective Equipment (CPE), as well as specialized tools, to safeguard personal and team safety and equipment integrity. Carry out tasks per applicable standards and procedures; when necessary, perform non-routine tasks after conducting a Preliminary Risk Analysis (PRA) to mitigate operational risks. Drive company vehicles per established norms and procedures, ensuring appropriate and responsible use of vehicles, machinery, and equipment under one’s responsibility. Conduct daily operational inspections of equipment, verifying functionality and safety conditions, reporting faults, and requesting preventive or corrective maintenance to ensure uninterrupted operations.
