Founded during the early industrialization movement in Brazil, the Industrial Social Service (SESI) began operations in Goiânia in the early 1950s alongside SENAI in Anápolis and the Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (FIEG), both established shortly before. Initial initiatives included home-based education, medical and dental care, recreation, and sports—forming the foundational pillars of today’s broad portfolio of services offered to workers, their dependents, and the wider community, all aimed at promoting socioeconomic development.
As part of the Federation of Industries of the State of Goiás (FIEG), SESI has solidified its reputation as a hallmark of social responsibility, delivering integrated services in education, health and occupational safety, leisure, and citizenship—all recognized by the community for their quality.
With activity centers and holiday colonies in Goiânia, Anápolis, Aruanã, Aparecida de Goiânia, Catalão, Itumbiara, and Rio Verde (service hub at SENAI Fernando Bezerra School), the institution extends its reach via mobile units offering leisure, culture, dentistry, health, and occupational safety services, temporarily stationed at factories, associations, schools, and public spaces. Its most recent initiative is Cozinha Brasil—a mobile unit delivering nutritional education to underserved population segments.
Faithful to its institutional mission, SESI operates dynamically and responsively across the entire state, focusing on improving workers’ quality of life and strengthening industry.
Our **MISSION** is to promote education, ensure safe working environments and healthy workers, thereby enhancing industrial productivity and socially responsible management.
Our **VISION**, by 2027, is for SESI and SENAI to be recognized as strategic partners of industry and drivers of productivity and competitiveness.
