The company expanded and incorporated steel into its production line, changing its name to Electro Aço Altona in 1933\. Thus, Santa Catarina's first steel foundry—and one of Brazil's earliest—was born. Over the past decade, the company acquired other enterprises to accommodate and expand its production line, and also established overseas subsidiaries to enhance customer support in commercially high-demand regions such as Europe and North America. Altona continuously progresses, consistently identifying the economy’s most dynamic sectors to broaden its operations, develop new markets, and supply its steel solutions across diverse industries.
