Job Description: * Assist the butcher in preparing (cutting, separating, etc.) products and packaging according to department manual guidelines; * Assist the butcher in preparing, cutting, and delivering requested products to customers (slicing, portioning, grinding, and weighing), packaged and labeled according to product code; * Label products according to internal codes for the sales area and company requirements; * Verify that products are correctly labeled (price, origin, manufacturing date, expiration date, label location); * Assemble, close, and label meat trays for display and storage in refrigerated chambers; * Sterilize equipment and tools used in meat handling before and after each use; * Separate products for restaurant and kitchen use when requested; * Perform pricing and price updates as directed by department leadership; \- Restock merchandise at counters and refrigerated/frozen islands whenever products are sold; \- Remove deteriorated or unsightly merchandise daily, checking expiration dates of displayed products; * Clean equipment, facilities, and utensils whenever necessary; * Load and unload products from trucks using hydraulic equipment and store products in appropriate locations; * Assist the butcher in checking incoming goods during receiving and inventory when requested; * Store chilled and frozen products in their respective chambers; * Prepare product display areas in the sales section according to department manual instructions.
