Our commitment is to deliver scalable, customized solutions that make a difference in people's lives. ### **About the Role:** We are looking for a **Data Architect** to join us at a unique moment: building the data foundation for a financial institution fully transforming into a digital bank. You will join an initial architecture team composed of Corporate, Solutions, and Data Architects, serving as the primary owner of the data domain. This role requires a combination of **deep technical expertise and systemic vision**, with strong involvement in defining standards, supporting teams, and making structured decisions. Your responsibility will be to map the current state (AS\-IS) and design the ideal data architecture (TO\-BE), creating a scalable, secure platform prepared for the regulatory challenges of a financial institution. We seek a **hands\-on profile**: someone who not only designs architecture but also rolls up their sleeves when needed—whether structuring pipelines, validating data models, or supporting teams during solution implementation. ### **Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities:** * Participate in AS\-IS mapping and TO\-BE architecture design in collaboration with other architects * Design and evolve data architecture (Data Lake, Lakehouse, DWH) with emphasis on scalability and security * Define data modeling standards (conceptual, logical, and physical) for high-criticality financial systems * Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance (LGPD, BACEN regulations) * Build and evolve data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and orchestrate workflows in AWS cloud environments * Serve as the technical reference for multidisciplinary engineering and business teams * Collaborate with Solutions and Corporate Architects to build the technological foundation * Document architectural decisions (ADRs), diagrams, and reference patterns Monitor platform performance, costs, and evolution in the cloud environment * ### **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Solid experience in Data Architecture within large-scale environments * Proficiency in AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Athena, Lake Formation, IAM, etc.) * Experience with data modeling in relational and non-relational environments * Knowledge of Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Lakehouse architectures * Experience with data pipelines (ETL/ELT) and orchestrators (Airflow, Step Functions, or similar) * Programming in Python and/or advanced SQL * Experience with data governance and security * Familiarity with AS\-IS / TO\-BE mapping methodologies * Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business stakeholders * AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics) Experience in the financial sector, fintechs, or institutions undergoing banking transformation * ### **Nice-to-Have (Not Required but Valued):** * Knowledge of Data Mesh and domain-oriented architectures * Experience with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog) * Experience with regulatory compliance (BACEN, LGPD, Open Finance) * AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Data Analytics) Experience with data observability and Data Quality tools * ### **Work Model** * Visit to Skopia’s office once per week \- We have offices in BH and SP * Periodic presence required in Porto Alegre (monthly or bimonthly) for strategic alignment and operational oversight ### **What It’s Like to Work at Skopia?** Here, you’ll find an environment where Results, Creativity, Pragmatism, Commitment, Authority, and Performance guide daily work.
