Job Description:
Responsible for the development, optimization, and monitoring of casting projects and processes—from component design through to production—ensuring metallurgical quality, production feasibility, and process efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
+ Develop casting projects, including part design, gating system, risers, and feeding.
+ Monitor and validate project execution on the shop floor.
+ Define casting process parameters according to alloy type, method, and technical specifications.
+ Analyze and resolve casting defects (shrinkage, cracks, porosity, inclusions, etc.).
+ Support engineering in tooling definition and design modifications aimed at continuous improvement.
+ Collaborate with quality, production, and process engineering teams.
Desirable Requirements:
+ Technical or undergraduate degree in Metallurgy, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields.
+ Knowledge of casting processes (green sand, chemical resins, steel, iron, etc.).
+ Experience reading engineering drawings and interpreting metallurgical requirements.
+ Practical experience in production monitoring and defect analysis.
