The **biomedical scientist** plays an essential role in the hospital environment, working integratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis, appropriate treatment, and disease prevention. **Salary**: R$ 2\.735,78 (Includes hazard pay and incentive bonus) **Work Schedule**: 12x36 **Work Mode**: On-site **Responsibilities and Duties** * Perform and supervise tests in various fields—including clinical biochemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, parasitology, and cytology—by analyzing patients’ biological samples; * Collect blood and other bodily fluids accurately and in strict adherence to rigorous protocols, ensuring sample quality; * Monitor and implement quality control practices in laboratory processes, including conducting internal tests and participating in external quality assurance programs; * Analyze, validate, and release laboratory test results to physicians, ensuring information is accurate and clinically relevant for diagnosis, thereby safeguarding both patient and information safety; * Define and monitor preventive maintenance and calibration schedules, ensuring equipment operates correctly during daily use, updating calibration and maintenance records to comply with technical standards and regulations; * Ensure strict adherence to all biosafety protocols—including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)—and document all inspections, trainings, and audits conducted; * Assist in administrative organization and management of the laboratory—including document organization and preparation of technical reports—ensuring all documents and reports are accurate, complete, and well-organized before finalization or archiving; * Perform other duties inherent to the position. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences; * Valid registration with the relevant professional council; * Intermediate-level Microsoft Office proficiency; * Relevant work experience. **Additional Information** * Cafeteria; * Day Off; * SESC benefits. **IMED** is a non-profit social organization dedicated to public health.
