### **About the position:** As a cashier, you will be responsible for serving customers by receiving payments, issuing receipts, and closing the register in your work environment. ### **Mandatory requirements:** * High school in progress; * Must be over 18 years old. ### **Desirable requirements:** * Previous experience as a cashier or in other customer service roles * Ability to handle money and perform basic mathematical calculations * Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with cash register systems * Good communication skills and ability to interact with the public * Organizational skills and attention to detail * Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays ### **Responsibilities** * Process customer purchases through the cash register, ensuring accurate amounts * Keep the register organized and stocked with bills and coins for change * Process payments in cash, credit or debit cards, and other payment methods accepted by the establishment * Serve and assist customers with their questions and requests in a courteous and efficient manner * Verify product validity and prices being registered, ensuring information accuracy * Perform end-of-shift cash register closing, counting total sales and cash balance * Assist in restocking products on shelves when necessary * Follow the establishment's safety and hygiene procedures * Stay informed about supermarket products and promotions to better serve customers ### **Benefits** * Health insurance; * Dental plan; * Attendance bonus or grocery basket; * Incentive payment for goals achieved; * Discounts with distance learning schools, pharmacies, and other partners; * Shopping discounts; * Transportation allowance. * Snack provided at work ### **Work schedule and hours:** * 6 days on, 1 day off rotation
