Organization and attention to detail. ### **About the Position:** As a cashier, you will be responsible for serving customers, receiving payments, issuing receipts, and closing the cash register at your assigned location. ### **Mandatory Requirements:** * High school education in progress; * Must be at least 18 years old. ### **Desired Qualifications:** * Prior experience as a cashier or in other customer service roles * Proficiency in handling money and performing basic mathematical calculations * Basic knowledge of computer systems and electronic cash registers * Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with customers * Organization and attention to detail * Flexibility to work varied schedules, including weekends and holidays ### **Responsibilities** * Process customer purchases at the cash register, ensuring accuracy of amounts * Maintain an organized and adequately stocked cash register with bills and coins for change * Process payments via cash, credit or debit cards, and other payment methods accepted by the establishment * Serve and assist customers courteously and efficiently with their inquiries and requests * Verify product validity and pricing, ensuring data integrity * Perform end-of-shift cash register closing, reconciling total sales and cash-on-hand balance * Assist with restocking products on shelves when necessary * Adhere to the establishment's safety and hygiene policies and procedures * Stay updated on supermarket products and promotions to better serve customers ### **Benefits** * Health insurance; * Dental insurance; * Attendance bonus or food basket; * Incentives for achieving performance targets; * Discounts with distance learning institutions, pharmacies, and other partner organizations; * Shopping discounts; * Transportation allowance. * Complimentary lunch at the workplace ### **Work Schedule and Hours:** * Rotating shift schedule: 6 days on, 1 day off
