Our technology team is currently experiencing rapid growth, and we seek a mid-level developer capable of delivering high-quality work, with strong expertise in PHP and WordPress, who thrives in a startup environment—agile, collaborative, and highly impactful on people's lives. **Essential Requirements** ● Proven experience (minimum 3 years) developing PHP applications in production environments. ● Experience with WordPress: theme customization, plugin development, API usage, and integrations. ● Experience with JavaScript and Ajax. ● Strong backend programming practices: knowledge of MVC or PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, or similar) is a plus. ● Familiarity with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or equivalent), version control (Git), staging/production environments, and deployment processes. ● Ability to work autonomously, with strong organizational skills, results orientation, and collaborative spirit within the team. ● Strong communication and alignment between technical and business needs: ability to translate requirements, discuss solutions, and explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders. ● Continuous improvement mindset, with emphasis on code quality, performance, and security. ● Experience with Scrum and Kanban methodologies **Desirable Qualifications** ● Prior experience in startups, SaaS companies, or fast-growing environments. ● Laravel ● Experience optimizing WordPress for high performance (caching, query optimization, etc). ● Genuine interest in mental health. **Responsibilities** Job Mission: You will be responsible for implementing continuous improvements to our platform, developing PHP features, WordPress customizations and integrations—ensuring quality, performance, and usability. You’ll join a rapidly growing technology team and enjoy autonomy to act, propose improvements, and actively participate in technical development decisions. **Main Responsibilities** ● Develop, test, and deploy backend improvements in PHP, ensuring clean, scalable, and well-documented code. ● Work with WordPress for theme/plugin customization, API integrations, and building corporate pages or microsites. ● Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, and QA teams to understand requirements, estimate tasks, deliver on time, and maintain quality. ● Participate in defining development best practices, version control (Git), automated deployment, and unit/integration testing. ● Ensure performance, security, and maintenance of the PHP/WordPress architecture; propose refactoring when necessary. ● Help identify technical bottlenecks and suggest improvements both in code and development processes within the startup. **Preferred Education** Bachelor’s degree completed in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields *Prior experience and personal projects are valued more than formal education* Languages Required Portuguese: Native **Other Requirements** SOFT SKILLS: Punctuality, Responsibility, Self-taught learning ability, Proactivity. **Advantages for This Role** ● Prior experience in startups, SaaS companies, or fast-growing environments. ● Experience optimizing WordPress for high performance (caching, query optimization, etc). ● Genuine interest in mental health. **Application Link:** https://app.hunterhero.io/ats/diogomatos9487520a\-23db\-4f11\-b37c\-66b123835a27/jobs/322301 Job Type: Full-time CLT contract Compensation: R$5\.000,00 \- R$6\.000,00 per month
