The team’s focus is on ensuring the **reliability, scalability, and predictability of technical deliveries**, supporting high-performance operations with consistent quality. As a **Staff** engineer, your challenge will be to **operate cross-functionally across multiple product and engineering teams, serving as the link between strategic and operational levels.** You’ll be responsible for **influencing architectural decisions at scale, ensuring technical consistency and sustainability across multiple fronts.** Additionally, you’ll play an active role in guiding the technical roadmap, disseminating best practices, and fostering an environment of engineering excellence. Your work will include both supporting individual development and elevating the collective technical level of senior engineers—acting as a reference, facilitator, and catalyst for cross-team collaboration. **Your key deliverables:** * Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust, scalable technical solutions; * Collaborate with PMs and leaders to prioritize and execute the technical roadmap with strategic vision; * Monitor and maintain system stability, managing technical debt, asynchronous queues, and observability; * Mentor engineers, promote best practices, and strengthen the culture of technical excellence; * Actively participate in technical discovery sessions, proposing sustainable solutions and avoiding overengineering; * Facilitate complex technical decisions and serve as an integration point with other areas. **Profile we’re looking for:** * Proven experience as a Specialist Software Engineer or Staff Engineer; * Active participation in digital product projects, with emphasis on performance, scalability, and sustainability; * Experience with software architecture and distributed systems; * Proficiency in at least one modern backend language (e.g., Ruby, Go, Java, Python); * Deep knowledge of software engineering practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, automated testing, refactoring, and version control; * Hands-on experience with observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus), error tracking, and asynchronous queues; * Experience in cloud environments and CI/CD pipelines; * Track record working in agile teams with close collaboration among engineering, product, and design. **Nice-to-have:** * Experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation); * Experience with event-driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and resilience patterns (circuit breaker, backoff); * Prior experience with mission-critical or high-availability systems.
