




Description: Completed higher education in Engineering (Environmental, Civil, Chemical or related fields) Minimum of 4 years of experience in operational management with team leadership Desirable Postgraduate degree in Environmental Management, Sanitary Engineering, Geotechnics or related areas Experience in landfill operations or related solid waste management areas Spanish (intermediate) and English (intermediate) Experience with budgetary control (OPEX), planning and execution of investments (CAPEX), and knowledge of management tools (e.g.: PDCA, 5S, 5 Whys) * Coordinate the daily operation routine of the landfill, including waste reception, weighing, disposal and compaction. * Coordinate operational teams (drivers, machine operators, environmental technicians, engineers, etc.), promoting development, engagement and high performance. Support training activities and conduct performance evaluations of subordinates * Provide continuous feedback to team members, promoting and facilitating professional development * Monitor, analyze and act upon key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational and environmental performance (e.g.: leachate control, biogas, geotechnical stability, landfill lifespan, environmental monitoring), developing, executing and tracking action plans * Develop and monitor the landfill operating plan and execution schedules, contributing to their proper implementation within established deadlines * Coordinate outsourced service contracts and supplier agreements, ensuring adequate operational conditions and performing monthly service measurement closures * Support control and optimization of operational materials and supplies usage, as well as inventory management at the facility * Support control and analysis of OPEX (operating expenses), seeking efficiency in the use of operational resources and achievement of unit targets * Support planning and execution of CAPEX (investments), proposing investments in equipment, improvements and expansions aligned with company strategy and unit goals * Support preparation of the unit's budget for the following fiscal year, ensuring alignment with corporate strategic guidelines and performance targets * Support development, implementation and monitoring of operational efficiency plans focused on cost reduction and revenue increase * Operational Excellence: Continuously seek process optimization and improvement of waste management center operations * Stay updated on new technologies and assess their applicability for operational improvements * Promote and ensure full compliance with environmental agencies and applicable regulations (e.g.: CONAMA, ABNT, occupational safety, state and municipal laws), as well as perfect execution of technical requirements/conditions from project licenses. Support the unit's environmental licensing processes * Identify, evaluate and mitigate operational, environmental and regulatory risks * Prepare managerial and technical reports for presentation to management and environmental agencies * Support company accountability procedures and participate in internal and external environmental audits * Support interface with business stakeholders (environmental agencies, municipalities, communities, suppliers, customers, support departments, etc) * Support transformation and continuous improvement initiatives at the unit * Promote and disseminate Veolia's values and culture within the unit and act as a role model * Uphold the company's safety culture and its ethical and compliance principles. 2511070202301854824
