At UDS, you’ll also have access to: Manager supervision; Training; Flexible working hours; Work equipment; Access to AWS certification.### **Desirable** Advantages • Experience with video pipelines (upload, transcoding, CDN, DRM). • Advanced observability (New Relic/Sentry), feature flags, blue\-green/canary deployments. • Kubernetes/Docker and deployment automation. • Cloud cost optimization and advanced database tuning. • External integrations (webhooks, authentication, BI).### **Job Requirements** • 5\+ years of experience developing production web backends. • Experience with Ruby on Rails Fullstack (or strong foundation in another MVC framework). • Hotwire • Tailwind • ActionView / ActionPack • Relational databases: (PostgreSQL and MySQL) modeling, transactions, tuning. • Non-relational databases: (MongoDB) modeling, transactions, tuning. • Redis/queues and asynchronous processing (Sidekiq/Resque or equivalent). • HTTP/REST: versioning, idempotency, pagination, rate limiting. • Automated testing and CI/CD. • AWS (or similar cloud): S3, CloudFront, EC2/Lambda, IAM, VPC. • Productive use of AI tools for development (Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.). • Ownership mindset, sense of urgency, and customer focus. • Strong written communication and organizational skills.### **Your Responsibilities** • You will have ownership over critical backend components, leading end\-to\-end projects (discovery, design, implementation, testing, observability, rollout), always prioritizing reliability, performance, cost efficiency, and security.
