We are seeking an analytical and negotiation-savvy Import Buyer to manage the international procurement cycle, ensuring cost-effectiveness and optimal inventory levels.

We are looking for an analytical and negotiation-savvy Import Buyer to join
our Supply Chain team. The professional will be responsible for managing the entire
international procurement cycle—from supplier development to product arrival—ensuring the best cost\-benefit ratio and ideal inventory level maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
● International Negotiation: Conduct quotations and lead strategic negotiations
for materials and services with international suppliers, aiming for optimal commercial terms (price, delivery time, and quality).
● Inventory Management: Analyze minimum stock levels and sales demand to schedule material reordering, preventing stockouts and overstocking.
● Product Development: Actively participate in new product development in partnership with suppliers, ensuring technical specifications meet company requirements.
● Sourcing and Qualification: Prospect, evaluate, and qualify new overseas suppliers, ensuring compliance and reliability across the supply chain.
● Procurement Operations: Prepare and issue purchase orders (Purchase Orders), tracking order status through to shipment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
● Experience: Proven experience in international procurement and import processes.
● Language: Advanced or fluent English (mandatory for conducting written and verbal meetings and negotiations).
● Negotiation Skills: Strong argumentative profile focused on cost and timeline reduction.
● Cost Analysis: Solid knowledge of product landed cost calculation, import duties, and Incoterms.
● Mathematical Reasoning: Proficiency in mathematical calculations and financial conversions for purchase feasibility analysis.
● Communication: Excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact effectively with diverse cultures and internal departments.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have):
● Advanced Excel proficiency.
● Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business Administration, Production Engineering, or related fields.
● Intermediate Spanish.
