As a Budget Analyst for Engineering Projects, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and managing construction budgets, ensuring accuracy in quantity takeoffs, competitiveness in feasibility analyses, and technical support to projects for cost monitoring. You will also perform Revit modeling for quantity extraction and develop BIM-integrated budgets, ensuring greater accuracy in quantities and traceability of takeoffs.
**Responsibilities and Duties** **What awaits you daily:**
* Develop execution budgets based on analysis of cost compositions, interpretation of quantities, and review of assumptions to ensure accuracy;
* Assess financial impacts of solutions through analysis of technical alternatives, evaluation of interferences, and comparison of options to strengthen decision-making;
* Prepare preliminary estimates by analyzing benchmarks, reviewing indicators, and validating assumptions to support initial studies;
* Review quantities derived from project documents by cross-checking drawings, validating criteria, and verifying consistency to ensure reliability;
* Update the cost composition database by analyzing productivity rates, recording costs, and validating benchmarks to maintain alignment with reality;
* Prepare budget reports by consolidating costs, analyzing variances, and structuring justifications to support approvals;
* Conduct comparative analyses between budgets by interpreting differences, verifying metrics, and evaluating risks to support technical decisions;
* Monitor project revisions by analyzing cost impacts and updating spreadsheets to ensure interdisciplinary consistency;
* Address budget constraints with internal departments through discussion of alternatives, review of criteria, and technical alignment to maintain financial viability;
* Serve as the budget process reference point by providing technical guidance to analysts and supporting complex requests to reinforce departmental governance.
**Requirements and Qualifications** **What we expect from you:**
**Prerequisites:** Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
**Desirable:** Prior experience in budgeting for residential civil construction projects
**Desired Knowledge and Skills:** Proficiency in budgeting software (e.g., Sienge, Revit, Visus, Advanced Excel or similar). Knowledge of BIM-based budgeting. Ability to read and interpret execution drawings. Critical thinking, focused attention, monitoring and control, organization, accountability, clear communication
