About the Role We are looking for a Software QA Engineer – Intermediate Level (Full\-stack) to join our engineering team. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and consistency of our SaaS applications across frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA/QC stakeholders to validate features, identify risks early, and contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes. This is a hands-on position combining manual testing, test design, and automation within a data-driven environment. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is fundamental to delivery quality and platform stability. What You’ll Do Plan, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scenarios Perform functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing on SaaS applications Validate data quality, integrity, and consistency—especially environmental and water resource data Test REST APIs and backend services for correctness, reliability, and performance Collaborate with developers on reviewing requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria Log, prioritize, and track defects using Jira Maintain documentation, test evidence, and QA knowledge base in Confluence Contribute to creation and maintenance of automated tests (UI, API, and/or end\-to\-end) Participate in release validation and post\-deployment analysis Support continuous improvement of QA/QC processes, standards, and tools Participate in agile ceremonies, such as dailies, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives Requirements 5–7 years of experience as a QA Engineer / Software Test Analyst **Solid knowledge of:** Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC); QA and QC concepts and practices; Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) **Experience testing full\-stack systems, including:** Frontend (ReactJS or similar frameworks); Backend (NodeJS or equivalent technologies); REST APIs Familiarity with Jira and Confluence for defect management, testing, and documentation Practical experience with widely used testing tools, such as: API Testing: Postman, Insomnia; UI / E2E Testing: Cypress, Playwright, Selenium; Test Management: Xray, Zephyr, TestRail Basic SQL knowledge and database data validation experience Experience writing and maintaining automated tests Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong written communication skills Nice-to-Haves (not mandatory but advantageous if you have): Experience with data-oriented systems, regulatory compliance, or infrastructure Experience with environmental, hydrological, or geospatial data Familiarity with CI/CD and integrating automated tests into pipelines Portuguese and English for technical reading and writing What We Offer Opportunity to work on critical software for water and environmental services Collaborative, technical, and quality-oriented environment Opportunity for growth to Senior QA or QA Lead Competitive compensation aligned with experience Hybrid position based in Florianópolis/SC \- Sapiens Park \- Cachoeira do Bom Jesus.
