On-site | Florianópolis We seek a Data Engineer with an analytical mindset and solid technical expertise to build, maintain, and evolve robust data pipelines. The professional will be responsible for ingesting, cleaning, transforming, and delivering high-quality data for internal consumption — fueling business decisions, reports, and analytical models. Mandatory Technical Requirements Python — Solid experience in data manipulation and processing, focused on ETL/ELT pipelines; proficiency with libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and similar tools SQL — Advanced expertise in complex queries, query optimization, and relational data modeling Large-Scale Data Processing — Practical experience with high-volume datasets, partitioning strategies, chunking, and memory efficiency Data Cleaning & Transformation — Ability to identify and handle inconsistencies, missing values, duplicates, and anomalies in real-world data RabbitMQ / Messaging — Experience with queue-based systems and event-driven architectures for asynchronous data ingestion and processing AWS — Familiarity with data services such as S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, or RDS Docker — Creation and management of containerized environments for data jobs Git/Git Flow — Version control and best practices for collaborative development Desirable Requirements Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) — Ability to investigate datasets, identify patterns, and extract relevant insights Kubernetes — Container orchestration for on-demand job execution On-Demand Job Architecture — Experience designing pipelines triggered by events or schedules (e.g., AWS Lambda, Step Functions, Airflow) Data Testing — Validation of data quality, integrity testing, and building reliable data pipelines Monitoring and Observability — Structured logging, alerting, and failure traceability in pipelines Important Differentiators Tax Operations Knowledge — Understanding of tax regulations, tax calculations, and Brazilian tax legislation as applied to data contexts Experience with Financial Data or Compliance — Exposure to environments demanding high precision and traceability **AWS Certifications — Especially in data domains (e.g.:** AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate) Essential Soft Skills Analytical Thinking — Ability to question data origins and understand the business impact of each transformation Attention to Detail — Precision in handling critical data, where errors directly affect decisions Autonomy and Proactivity — Identifying and resolving data quality issues without constant supervision Stakeholder Communication — Skill in translating business needs into data transformation logic Collaboration — Joint work with product, analytics, and software engineering teams Education and Experience Education — Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields Experience — 1 to 3 years in data engineering, analytics engineering, or roles with a strong data manipulation component English — Intermediate level for reading technical documentation **General opportunity information:** Contract as an Individual Entrepreneur (PJ); **Contractual value:** BRL 6K to 8K; Performance bonus; On-site; Monday to Friday — 8-hour workday; Equipped kitchen; Fresh fruits and juices available daily; Birthday day off; Year-end break; We are located in the Estreito neighborhood — Florianópolis.
