Job Summary: This position involves assisting in pre-preparation and preparation of food, managing inventory, sanitizing utensils, and training new employees, ensuring the quality and flavor of dishes. Opportunity to train new employees Job Description: * Assist the chef in pre\-preparation and preparation of food; * Assist in food preparation on griddles, fryers, ovens, and stoves; * Assist in restocking food items at the sales counter; * Train and supervise new employees in this role (mentorship program); * Prepare food while monitoring quality and ensuring flavor complies with the established menu; * Manage inventory of goods, requesting necessary restocks; * Perform kitchen tasks applying correct methods for food handling, sanitation, and preservation, per the company’s food handling and production manual; * Remove and place products and food items from the refrigerated chamber and meat room; * Clean equipment, facilities, and utensils as needed; * Wash dishes, pots, and other kitchen utensils; * Clean equipment, facilities, and utensils as needed; * Perform pre\-preparation of foods for the next day’s menu; * Record daily quantities of leftover food items unfit for use; * Remove sector waste and place it in the designated collection area; * Notify department leadership regarding maintenance or repair needs for machinery, electrical systems, and hydraulic systems; * Attend meetings and training sessions scheduled by department leadership and management.
