




We are seeking a **Senior Planning Consultant** with solid experience in large-scale construction projects, particularly in **Hydropower Plants and Mining**, to serve as the technical reference for developing, organizing, and controlling strategic project planning. This professional will play a key role in supporting engineering and management teams, ensuring predictability, efficiency, and alignment across all areas involved in project execution. **Key Responsibilities** **Planning Development and Maintenance** * Develop the project’s **Master Plan**, including the **Physical-Financial Schedule (Baseline)** covering all construction phases (dam, powerhouse, spillway, substations, transmission lines, among others). * Define the **scope** and develop the **Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)** jointly with engineering and procurement, ensuring completeness of deliverables. * Establish the **logical sequencing** of activities, considering dependencies, risks, and identification of the **Critical Path**. * Perform **resource estimation and allocation** (labor, equipment, materials), optimizing timelines and costs. **Monitoring and Control** * Track physical progress across construction fronts, consolidating information and updating the schedule weekly or monthly. * Apply **Earned Value Management (EVM)** techniques to measure performance, monitoring indicators such as **SPI** and **CPI**. * Identify schedule deviations and bottlenecks, proposing adjustments and presenting alternative scenarios. * Prepare technical reports, presentations, and dashboards for managers and clients, providing status analyses, risk assessments, and recommendations. **Risk and Change Management** * Conduct risk analyses applied to scheduling, including **Monte Carlo simulation** to assess probability of meeting deadlines. * Develop **Recovery Plans** to regain lost time, suggesting alternative execution methods and resource reallocation. * Manage the **Change Control** process, incorporating approved changes and evaluating their impact on schedule and cost. **Technical Interface and Leadership** * Serve as a **technical consultant** for all departments, ensuring decisions are grounded in schedule and productivity capacity analyses. * Support and guide planning professionals and related teams on best practices and use of tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project. * Review and audit schedules from subcontractors and partners to ensure alignment with the project’s strategic plan. **Technical Requirements** * Proficiency in **infrastructure construction planning and control**, especially in hydropower plants and mining. * Advanced experience with **Primavera P6**, **MS Project**, and integrated project management methodologies. * In-depth knowledge of **EVM**, risk analysis, simulations, and physical-financial control. * Ability to integrate scope, schedule, cost, and resources in a structured and strategic manner. **Preferred Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related fields. * Postgraduate qualification in **Planning**, **Project Management**, or similar. * Certifications such as **PMP**, **IPMA**, **Primavera Specialist**, or equivalents will be considered advantageous. **Behavioral Competencies** * Systemic vision and strong analytical capability. * Clear communication and ability to manage multiple interfaces. * Commitment to quality, accuracy, and deadlines. * Autonomy and focus on continuous improvement. **Additional Information** * Proactivity and dynamism will be distinguishing attributes for the candidate. * Familiarity with the **CCS (Candy)** budgeting system will be considered an advantage.
