Job Summary: Senior scale-up development analyst to work in industrial processes, specifying hardware, calculating utilities, and performing thermodynamics. Key Highlights: 1. Work in efficient, safe, and standardized industrial processes. 2. Lead the execution of pilot batches and train operators. 3. Draft manufacturing instructions and industrial testing protocols. We are a group of companies with 22 years of experience in the Brazilian and LATAM markets, operating in the chemical, technology (equipment), and food additive sectors. We seek a **Senior Scale-Up Development Analyst** to work in efficient, safe, and standardized industrial processes. **Responsibilities:** * **Hardware Specification:** Define the industrial setup (reactor type, agitation/shear system, and pumps). * **Utilities Calculation:** Determine requirements for steam, chilled water, vacuum, or compressed air for the process. * **Plant Adaptation:** Assess whether current infrastructure accommodates the product or requires technical modifications (Capex). * **Thermodynamics:** Establish heating/cooling curves and temperature hold times. * **Kinetics and Mixing:** Specify component addition sequence, agitation speed ($RPM$), and reaction times. * **Quality Control:** Validate acceptable limits for viscosity, pH, and density for the final product and intermediate stages. * **Mass Transfer:** Define how the product transfers from the reactor to the surge tank and from there to the filling line without losing stability. * **Packaging Compatibility:** Select the filling nozzle and filling technology based on the product’s rheology (flow behavior). * **Technical Documentation:** Draft **Manufacturing Instructions (MI)** and industrial testing protocols. * **Pilot Batches:** Lead the execution of the first full-scale batches, immediately correcting process deviations. * **Training:** Train operators to understand critical aspects of the new formulation. **What You Bring:** Education: Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Pharmacy, or Production Engineering.
