We are seeking a Data Scientist expert with a strong focus on digital transformation and state-of-the-art AI initiatives. This role will leverage advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and AI techniques to enhance product discovery, personalization, and customer experience across our digital channels, including but not limited to product recommendations, intelligent ranking, semantic search, and agent-based AI solutions. The selected candidate will support the acquisition of external tools with AI cores, lead the development of models that generate value for customers, optimize omnichannel sales, and develop robust segmentation approaches for various digital workflows. You will work on defining the technical approach and developing machine learning models, as well as design and implement sophisticated data science solutions for complex business problems, from web and in-store navigation to supporting post-sales solutions. **Responsibilities and duties** **Machine Learning and Gen AI** * Design and implement innovative Machine Learning and Gen AI solutions for product and content discovery, personalization, and customer engagement. * Develop and deploy generative AI solutions (e.g., language and vision models, AI agents) to enhance and automate digital experiences. * Build predictive models (propensity, customer lifetime value, customer affinity, churn, etc.) and personalized recommendation systems for e-commerce. * Apply advanced modeling techniques, including classification, generalized linear models, decision trees, time series forecasting, clustering, and Deep Learning. * Integrate new data sources (internal and external) and modalities (text, images, audio) into Machine Learning and Gen AI pipelines. **Digital Ecosystem** * Act as a data science expert for the overall analytics team and serve as a technical focal point in a consultative role for projects where implementation will be handled by external vendors. * Promote data-driven decision-making and proactively seek innovative ways to leverage data and analytics. * Ensure data integrity and a single source of truth; collaborate with Data Engineers to develop scalable solutions. * Stay up to date on emerging trends in cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and digital analytics, and share best practices with the team. **Requirements and qualifications** * Graduate degree in Data Science or related fields; * Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark; * Experience with projects using Neural Networks, as well as metrics to evaluate their results; * Experience with Natural Language Processing (NLP) projects; * Experience with Computer Vision projects; * Mastery of Tensorflow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, or similar libraries; * Experience with Deep Learning models; **Desirable/Additional Skills:** Familiarity with generative AI frameworks (e.g., Hugging Face, Google Vertex AI, Azure AI Foundry, etc.) is highly desirable. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. Highly motivated and proactive, with a sense of responsibility, willingness to learn, and desire for success.
