Key Highlights: 1. Assists in the operation and monitoring of waste treatment systems. 2. Contributes to maintaining water quality and final product quality. 3. Supports maintenance, analysis, and control of chemical products. Assists in operational activities for systems such as: Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Leachate Treatment Plants (LTP), waste incinerators, and others—supporting system operation, feeding, and monitoring; assisting with valve handling; contributing to chemical dosing applications; supporting partial and full quality analyses of the product; monitoring for possible deviations from established parameters; reporting and/or assisting in appropriate corrective actions—aiming to support full plant functionality and desired final product quality. **Responsibilities and Duties** **Work Locations: Treatment Plants (WTP/STP/LTP)** * Assist in maintaining controls over chemicals required for operations, reporting replenishment needs, supporting storage, organization, recordkeeping, tracking deliveries and unloading by suppliers, watching for potential environmental damage, ensuring use of PPE and engineering controls to guarantee material availability for operations; * Assist in safeguarding quality controls for received chemicals, helping evaluate density, color, etc., comparing against certificates of analysis and other necessary precautions; * Assist in monitoring the raw water intake channel, observing conductivity and pH, helping operate feeding equipment and structures, contributing to maintaining their proper functioning according to required quality and quantity parameters; * Assist in monitoring influent clarification, checking and supporting adjustments to chemical dosing (e.g., caustic soda, sodium hypochlorite, PAC, polymers, etc.), assisting with pump regulation to ensure programmed water quality; * Contribute to monitoring system components (intake channels, pumps, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, homogenization, centrifugation, flotation, etc.), assisting in checking for vibrations, noises, chemical injection, and equipment cleaning—aiming to enable perfect functionality and final product quality; * Assist in cleaning and maintaining systems, helping operate sand filter controls, valve maneuvers, replacement of filter media, supporting backwash processes, manual cleaning, and other mechanisms—to remove impurities and maintain water treatment system indicators; * Assist in monitoring water quality at various process stages—collecting samples, supporting conductivity, turbidity, chlorine, etc. analyses, and adjusting chemical dosages to achieve target quality; * Assist in monitoring final water quality, comparing results against established parameters and monitoring flows and necessary adjustments—aiming to maximize production while meeting quality requirements; * Contribute to laboratory analyses across different phases of the water treatment process, using measurement and precision instruments, recording some results for control and/or audit purposes; * Assist in controlling flow rates, pH, and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) for sludge (effluent) sedimentation—collecting samples, supporting documentation, and reporting any parameter changes in chemicals used for effluent treatment; * Assist in sludge (effluent) removal via centrifuge—operating pumps and supporting chemical addition to maintain microbial concentration; * Assist in floatation unit operation—adding chemicals and operating pumps to enable residue (effluent) transfer meeting environmental regulatory quality standards. **Work Locations: Incineration and Co-processing** * Assist in performing the incineration process checklist—verifying waste types and codes, destination tanks, timing, etc., following step-by-step procedures, adjusting and monitoring panel indicators, making notes and optical readings to initiate liquid waste operations; * Assist in operating incineration system equipment—such as pneumatic and electric pumps, compressors, etc.—activating buttons, operating valves, relying on lab analysis results and waste specifications, and proceeding per received instructions for transfers or incinerator operations; * Assist in operating incinerator valves—regulating specified quantities to burners, monitoring overall process performance: potential leaks, jams, explosions, accidents, environmental damage, or chemical reactions—ensuring operations and production meet targeted standards; * Handle drums, barrels, and other solid waste containers using forklifts—performing optical readings, placing them into appropriate elevators, pressing buttons, monitoring process flow and control panel indicators (temperature, oxygen)—to verify operational progress meets expected standards; * Maintain continuous furnace monitoring through sight glasses—watching for obstructions, jams, waste flow, and other necessary precautions; * Assist in operating systems integrated with the incinerator—such as liquid transfers, drum compaction and calcination, gas washing, instrument maneuvers, etc.—preparing loads, operating pneumatic pumps, actuating valves, aligning waste routing, assembling/disassembling components, removing lances, and supporting maintenance teams when needed—to meet auxiliary system requirements; * Perform various documentation tasks per given instructions or procedures, supporting operational control. **Common Activities Across All Work Locations:** * Monitor suppliers, reporting and verifying operational processes to validate systems being implemented; * Participate in emergency operations—increasing pressure or modifying procedures, conducting tests and simulations—to immediately resolve issues and ensure full restoration of operational processes; * Remain vigilant regarding unsafe acts or conditions—within internal or third-party teams—and report and/or take preventive measures per institutional guidelines; * Maintain operational interfaces with clients—seeking their needs or satisfaction levels—to guide system feeding and operation; * Perform other tasks of similar nature and complexity, as directed by supervisor. * Comply with policies, procedures, and standards defined by the specific management system—using preventive equipment, observing regulatory norms and procedures, reporting deviations, and proposing corrections for unsafe acts—to contribute to implementing and maintaining normative, legal, and SGI-regulating requirements; * Participate in internal events / campaigns / training related to the SGI. **Requirements and Qualifications** * High school diploma and/or technical course in Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Chemistry, or Environmental Science. * Knowledge of wastewater, sewage, and leachate treatment systems. * Organizational skills, agility in task execution, and strong communication and interpersonal relationship abilities. * Minimum 6 (six) months’ experience in the assigned role. **Additional Information** * Medical assistance * Dental assistance * Gym allowance * Pharmacy allowance * Christmas basket * Life insurance * Meal voucher * Transportation voucher #### **Transformation is part of human essence.** #### **Every evolutionary process is driven by change.
