Perform basic preventive maintenance and daily cleaning of machines RESPONSIBILITIES: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment, such as backhoes and tractors, ensuring excavation, earthmoving, material handling, and land grading activities are performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project technical specifications. The backhoe and tractor machine operator is responsible for operating and handling heavy equipment, such as backhoes and tractors, to carry out various tasks on-site or at construction sites. The professional must ensure tasks are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications. Operate backhoes, tractors, and other heavy equipment for excavation, earthmoving, land grading, and other construction or agricultural activities. Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines, such as checking oil and water levels and inspecting hydraulic systems. Transport materials and tools required for construction projects, when requested. Ensure all operations comply with safety regulations and that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used. Meet project deadlines and specifications, collaborating with the work team. Carry out daily maintenance and cleaning of machines after use to ensure optimal operating condition. Monitor equipment performance and identify technical issues, reporting them to supervision or the maintenance department. Assist with soil handling and earthmoving tasks. Operate machinery efficiently, avoiding fuel waste and reducing environmental impact. RECRUITMENT AND SELECTION REQUIREMENTS: Prior experience as a forklift operator. Forklift operator training course, as required by occupational safety regulations (NR-11). Basic knowledge of logistics, organization, and inventory control. Good communication skills and ability to work in a team. Desired: Driver’s License Class D/E or Class B. Willingness to travel.
