Learn more at: https://www.escolaseb.com.br/maceio/ **Responsibilities and Duties** ### **Responsibilities and Duties** * Plan, organize, and manage school library processes and services, ensuring alignment with the institution’s pedagogical project. * Analyze and define, jointly with the pedagogical coordination team, the bibliographic collection supporting educational practices. * Implement the policy for selection, acquisition, organization, technical processing, conservation, and restoration of the collection. * Establish and monitor library service development policies, setting objectives and priorities. * Manage collection control and management systems, conducting periodic inventories and usage statistics. * Serve, guide, and support students, teachers, and staff regarding appropriate library use. * Develop and promote reading incentive programs, cultural initiatives, and educational projects. * Research and propose new media and interactive resources to stimulate interest in reading and information. * Coordinate and supervise the library support team, assigning tasks, monitoring outcomes, and providing feedback. * Collaborate with the school’s pedagogical and administrative teams. ### **Expected Experience** * Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a librarian, preferably in an educational setting. * Experience managing physical and digital collections, cataloging systems, and inventories. * Involvement in reading incentive projects, cultural events, or pedagogical initiatives. * Experience serving children, adolescents, and educators will be considered a plus. * Experience coordinating or guiding support teams. **Requirements and Qualifications** * Bachelor’s degree in **Library Science**, with active registration in the professional council. * Knowledge of library science techniques, archival science, and collection management. * Familiarity with computerized library management systems. * Skills in organization, planning, and process control. * Strong communication skills, proactivity, and ability to work effectively in teams. * Interest in educational innovation, reading, and developing critical readers. **Additional Information** Position available in Maceió/AL Working hours to be defined (Monday to Friday), 44 hours per week Benefits: * Medical Assistance; * Dental Assistance; * SESC; * Life Insurance; * Meal Voucher; * Transportation Allowance.
