Job Summary: A professional responsible for performing visual inspections and non-destructive testing on welds to ensure quality and compliance with technical standards. Key Highlights: 1. Perform visual inspections and non-destructive testing on welds 2. Issue technical inspection reports and interpret engineering drawings 3. Work in compliance with applicable standards and codes **Responsibilities:** * Perform visual weld inspections (VWI), identifying potential discontinuities, cracks, porosity, lack of fusion, or other non-conformities. * Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using liquid penetrant testing (LPT), applying, removing, and developing the penetrant in accordance with technical standards. * Prepare surfaces and materials for testing, ensuring appropriate conditions for analysis. * Issue technical inspection reports documenting results, photographic evidence, and assessments regarding weld quality. * Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing standards, and acceptance criteria. * Work in compliance with applicable standards and codes (e.g., ASME, AWS, ABNT, NR\-13, among others). * Support quality control of materials and welding processes, suggesting adjustments when necessary. **Requirements and Qualifications:** * Completed technical high school education in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Welding, Electromechanics, or related fields. * NDT certification **Level II in Visual Weld Inspection (VWI)** and **Level II in Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT)** issued by **SNQC/ABNT (FBTS)** or equivalent. * Knowledge of other NDT methods (e.g., PM, UT, RT, TOFD) is considered a plus. **Benefits:** We offer an attractive benefits package, including various advantages that support employee well-being and satisfaction.
