Opportunity to improve culinary techniques Bourbon Gastronomia is seeking a Pastry Assistant to join the team at Bourbon Resort Atibaia, located in Atibaia \- SP. This professional will be responsible for assisting the Pastry Chef and Baker, as well as organizing the workplace, ensuring sector-related tasks are performed according to the company's established quality standards, complying with internal and external regulations and procedures, and adhering to Bourbon Hospitality’s general policies. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Assist in decorating dessert plates for events. * Maintain adequate stock levels in the area, conducting daily inventory control. * Assist with general department routines and colleagues. * Organize the work area and cold room. * Prepare jams and handle fruits. * Assist in assembling coffee breaks, following product requests. * Be responsible for cooking and cooling processes, in compliance with sanitary surveillance requirements. * Collect products from the warehouse, verifying and signing requisitions, then transporting them to the pastry kitchen. * Assist in bread production, following defined recipes, to ensure breads are served during meals. * Suggest improvements and implementations to enhance department efficiency. * Verify food expiration dates and quality by checking identification labels to ensure no product exceeds its usage date. * Assist in preparing juices and desserts, following defined instructions. * Prepare doughs for the next shift, following recipes in advance. * Stay updated on customer service techniques, safety norms, and procedures. * Perform other duties related to this position. REQUIREMENTS: * Knowledge of food handling and food safety. * Customer and results orientation. * Teamwork mindset and sense of urgency. * Time management skills. * Commitment and organizational skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * Experience in hospitality. * Experience in high-volume production. * Experience in corporate events.
