




Job Summary: We are seeking a professional to perform mechanical maintenance on machinery and components, executing both preventive and corrective maintenance activities to drive improvements and ensure operational efficiency. Develop personnel and improve maintenance performance **WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:** Someone to join our Maintenance team at the Maranguape-CE factory, responsible for planning, executing, and documenting preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on assigned machinery and components, ensuring proper operation and efficiency, while proposing and implementing improvements. Inspect equipment and components under responsibility to identify opportunities and/or maintenance needs. Assemble and disassemble equipment for industrial park modernization. Report maintenance occurrences to establish historical records. Specify components for procurement. Monitor maintenance indicators, analyze results, and develop action plans for deviations. Conduct failure analysis, develop action plans to eliminate root causes, and work in compliance with safety standards and procedures. **Responsibilities and Duties** **WHAT YOU WILL DO:** * Execute partial or full preventive and corrective maintenance on production machines, equipment, instruments, and general factory apparatus; locate defects; replace, recover, or fabricate parts and components; assemble, adjust, and calibrate; conduct testing using appropriate instrumentation; and return equipment to operational condition; * Inspect company machinery for potential defects or anomalies, identifying root causes to enable timely corrective actions and prevent breakdowns; * Request parts and components from the warehouse to support maintenance and assembly tasks; * Assemble and disassemble production machines as required for modifications aimed at improving performance, following pre-established procedures, technical standards, drawings, catalogs, and general mechanical knowledge, using test and control tools; * Install new machinery, verifying leveling and balancing of rotating parts, adjusting and regulating belts, gears, bearings, and shafts to bring equipment to operational readiness; * Deliver technical training to peers to foster team development and enhance maintenance performance; * Conduct failure/breakdown analysis to identify root causes and prevent recurrence; * Ensure proper custody, preservation, and efficient use of equipment, tools, instruments, and materials; report any abnormalities observed to immediate supervisor; * Perform other duties related to the role and work process procedures, as required. **Requirements and Qualifications** **WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU:** * Technical education in Mechanical Engineering * Completed technical education in Mechanical Maintenance, Electromechanical Engineering, Automation, or related fields; * Prior experience in the same or similar position within medium- or large-scale industrial environments; * Experience in welding, machining, transmission systems, and lubrication; * Experience in predictive and corrective maintenance; * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite; Availability to work shift schedules (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift). * **Additional Information** **Smurfit Westrock**, a global leader in sustainable paper and packaging, operates in 40 countries with over 500 packaging conversion operations and 62 paper mills.
