Job Summary:
A professional responsible for accident prevention, fire suppression, and ensuring safety in various environments, in compliance with safety and biosafety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Fire prevention and response to fires and leaks
2. Inspection and signage of hazardous locations
3. Emergency response to fire incidents and preservation of the scene
Prevents accidents — such as fires and leaks — by conducting site reconnaissance, mapping risk areas, and inspecting facilities;
Performs periodic inspections of fire-fighting equipment — including testing — and requests maintenance services when necessary;
Inspects and signs hazardous locations and establishes evacuation routes;
Responds to fire incidents by defining an action plan;
Triages received information to assess the scale and type of fire and analyze risk situations;
Evacuates the site and isolates the fire-affected area;
De-energizes the site;
Connects water hoses and confines firefighting efforts to the affected area;
Extinguishes the fire;
Removes fire debris, eliminating potential re-ignition sources and other hazards;
Preserves the scene for forensic investigation;
Acts in accordance with safety and biosafety regulations;
Cleans and decontaminates equipment.
**Requirements:**
Completed undergraduate degree;
It is important that the candidate resides in the city or surrounding region due to the requirement for 100% on-site work and daily attendance;
Evening to night shift availability is mandatory;
Relevant experience in the requested qualifications and within the Civil Construction sector is mandatory.
