Description: MECHANICAL FITTER JOB DESCRIPTION We are hiring a Mechanical Fitter with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in assembling and disassembling machines, mechanical equipment, and industrial structures. The professional will be responsible for performing adjustments, lubrications, corrective maintenance, alignments, and oxy-fuel cutting/torch cutting, as well as interpreting technical drawings and accurately using measuring instruments. We seek a candidate with completed high school education, preferably holding a technical degree in Mechanics, possessing manual dexterity, attention to detail, knowledge of occupational safety, and strong communication skills to work effectively in teams and clearly report technical issues. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES * Assemble and disassemble structures, machines, and mechanical equipment in general, ensuring quality and reliability of products and services related to mechanical assembly of rotating and static equipment. * Operate mechanical measuring instruments. * Adjust mechanical parts, lubricate, install machines, perform corrective maintenance, and provide technical-mechanical assistance for industrial machinery. * Read and interpret mechanical drawings, sketches, technical illustrations, models, and specifications; ability to use measuring instruments and basic knowledge of fitting and load handling. * Select and use materials and tools required to carry out tasks. * Handle mechanical measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, micrometers, etc. * Perform installation and alignment of machines. * Lubricate equipment. * Identify and request replacement of damaged parts. * Oxy-fuel cutting / Torch cutting. REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS * Prior Experience: Minimum 3 years’ experience in this role, with proven track record in assembling and disassembling metal structures, machines, and industrial equipment. * Education and Training: Completed high school education. A technical course in Mechanics or related fields is considered an advantage. * Technical Skills: Knowledge of assembly and maintenance of rotating and static equipment; mechanical adjustments, machine lubrication, equipment installation and alignment. * Technical Drawing Interpretation: Ability to interpret mechanical drawings, diagrams, sketches, models, and technical specifications. * Measuring Instruments: Proficiency in using mechanical measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, micrometers, among others. * Manual Dexterity: Manual dexterity to handle tools and perform precise adjustments on parts and components. * Cutting and Material Handling: Practical knowledge of oxy-fuel/torch cutting and handling of various mechanical materials. * Attention to Detail: Ability to perform tasks precisely, ensuring parts comply with technical specifications. * Safety Knowledge: Understanding of applicable safety regulations in the mechanical field, including correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to established procedures. * Communication: Strong communication skills with team members, supervisors, and engineers, ensuring clarity in understanding tasks and exchanging technical information. * Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with other professionals during assembly and maintenance activities. * Organization and Planning: Capability to select appropriate materials and tools for task execution, contributing to operational efficiency. 2512220202491881095
