**WELDING ASSISTANT** **Education:** Completed elementary school. **Summary of responsibilities:** Assist welders and journeyman welders in the manufacturing and maintenance of heavy equipment according to service demand; perform part cutting using oxy-fuel torches; Carry out part preparation activities using bench drills and grinders, as well as finishing parts using multi-cut machines and grinders; Perform layout and marking of parts for cutting with oxy-fuel torches; Perform tack welding and small weld beads to assist welders in equipment assembly according to company-defined procedures and following health and safety standards; Move equipment under manufacturing or refurbishment with the aid of overhead cranes; Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks in the yard, maintaining appropriate hygiene and organization conditions; . Carry out activities according to procedures and routines established by the Company. **Required Technical Knowledge:** Six months’ experience as a General Helper, Loading and Unloading Operator, or in a role similar to the activities described in this vacancy. **Desirable/Additional Qualifications:** Experience in boiler-making and/or welding. **Working hours:** Monday to Thursday: 07:15 to 17:15; Friday: 07:15 to 16:15. Availability to work overtime is required.
